This package is designed specifically to review the most common male health concerns. Reports include the nutrient core report (fundamental genetic interactions with diet and lifestyle) and either the methylation (imbalances can lead to various chronic health issues) or detoxification (poor detoxification can cause a build of toxic substances in the body), depending on individual requirements. See individual tests for further details.
• DNA test kit
• 2 reports
• 45 minute consultation with personalised protocols
This report delves into genetic variations impacting nutrient metabolism, offering insights into personalised dietary needs. It identifies genes influencing the absorption, utilisation, and metabolism of essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. By understanding these genetic predispositions, individuals can tailor their diet to optimise nutrient intake and prevent deficiencies. The report provides actionable recommendations for supplementing specific nutrients based on genetic insights, promoting overall health and well-being through targeted nutritional support.
Genes Tested for: Food Response, Caffeine, Microbiome, Vitamins, Blood Pressure, Detoxification, Metabolism, Inflammation and Circadian Rhythm.
The Methylation Report examines genetic variations impacting methylation processes, crucial for DNA repair, detoxification, and neurotransmitter regulation. It analyses genes involved in methylation pathways, offering insights into potential methylation imbalances and related health risks. By understanding these genetic predispositions, individuals can implement personalised strategies to support optimal methylation status, including dietary modifications, lifestyle interventions, and targeted supplementation. The report empowers individuals to optimise their methylation pathways, promoting overall health and well-being through enhanced epigenetic regulation.
Genes Tested for: Folate Cycle, Methionine Cycle, Neurotransmitter Cycle, Transsulphuration Cycle and Urea Cycle.
The Detoxification Report examines genetic variations impacting detoxification pathways, offering insights into individual detoxification capacity and susceptibility to environmental toxins. It analyses genes involved in phase I and phase II detoxification processes, providing personalised recommendations for supporting liver function and enhancing toxin elimination. By understanding genetic predispositions, individuals can implement targeted dietary and lifestyle strategies to optimise detoxification pathways, reduce toxic burden, and promote overall health and well-being. The report empowers individuals to take proactive steps towards detoxification optimisation, supporting long-term health outcomes.
Genes Tested for: Alcohol, Pesticides, ROS, Glucuronidation, Methylation, Sulphonation, Acetylation, Glutathione and Antiporter.
You’ll receive a detailed analysis of your reports with Deborah a registered nutrigenomics specialist. She will carefully explain what your results mean and recommend nutrition and lifestyle interventions as well as answer any questions you may have.
NOTE: We do not provide written guidance during this analysis call, so you should prepare to make notes whilst you speak to the practitioner. You may record (on zoom with prior practitioner permission).
This session focuses solely on the results of your DNA report. Any health related matters why the test was conducted should be provided in the client onboarding form to ensure that any specific health concerns can be covered as part of the review.
To collect a sample of cheek cells from which DNA is extracted and analysed. It takes just 1 minute to collect the sample (the only requirement is to abstain from eating/drinking for at least 1 hour before testing), place the swab in the test tube with the stabilising tablet, complete and sign the consent form and place everything in the return packaging provided.
The test is not impacted by HRT, contraceptives, pregnancy, nutritional supplements, exercise or any other environmental factors.
